Muzaffarpur





Muzaffarpur is famous for its litchies. 

Bagmati, Gandak, Budhi Gandak and Lakhandeyee are the important rivers in the district. 

Few of the many places of worship here are Baba Garibnath temple, Goddess Kali temple, Ram Krishna temple, Badi masjid, Bada Imambara and Gurudwara at Ramna. 

Variety of industries in Muzaffarpur district are chemical factories, leather units, thermal power plant and dairies. 

Education wise Muzaffarpur is next to Patna in the state. Muzaffarpur Institute of Technilogy(MIT), SK Medical College, Ambedkar Bihar University, Langat Singh College, Muzaffarpur Homoeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Greer Bhumihiar Brahman College (Dr. Rajendra Prasad was lecturer here for some time) are renowned education centers.
